    Ah... ya, probably would need to get a list of approved shoes from the secretary in that case. Things like that are usually facility specific, not BoP-wide.

    Normally they only allow shoes to be purchased via commissary. If they are letting you send in outside shoes, that's definitely a new thing and you would want to ask whoever told you that you can do that what is allowed.

    There’s a lot of possibilities (beyond them just forgetting or not doing it). They could be in the shu, or it’s possibility they are being unexpectedly transferred to a different facility. You can check if they are “in transit” or somewhere else by looking them up here...

    There are probably multiple halfway houses in Harrisburg. Oftentimes they are not just federal facilities, but also state and county and even co-ed (the point is that there are a lot of halfway houses).

    Yep… the only way you can get an early release is by order of a federal judge (basically the judge changing the actual sentencing). Other than that, no… you can’t just call someone up and ask them to release them early. 😀
