Looking for anyone with similar experiences and their outcome. Have a friend that was gang related as a kid. There's was allegedly a retaliation on a rivalry gang. One of them got picked up and placed in a cell next to an informant that lied to him and placed fear to get him to spill info. The three ended up getting picked up on here say and violating their amendment rights. However this stuck in court and they got sentenced. One got an attorney and was released because they had money the other two were sentenced to life with possibility of parole in 15. Attempted murder charge with gang enhancement. The victims did not die and were from the rival gang. What is the possibility of release on parole if an individual has been rehabilitated? The individual has made progress over the 13 years of being incarcerated, with behavior, no write ups. Earned degrees, helping mentor youth and working with prison groups to help others being brought in etc. Also any info on appeal attorneys that will be helpful Pro Bono etc? LA county and the bay area.
