How do I find an inmate who was released? Can anyone help me please

You can’t really… at least not any different than locating a non-inmate. Can search for them online, but BoP doesn’t necessarily know where they are either (maybe their probation officer does, but you would need to know who their PO is, and even then they probably don’t give out that info to...

Normally not email in the traditional sense, but they typically do have a "digital letter" system which is kind of like email, but also usually costs per "email" sent. Receiver will need to have an account with whatever system the facility uses (for example some use a service called JPay).

    Inmate Locator

It can take a couple days for them to show up in the system. You can search by name, so probably just try that in a day or two.

    federal prison

There probably isn't a lot you can do. You can't send inmates gifts or clothes (including shoes). His best option would be to try and get the staff doctor to authorize/prescribe the shoes if they are medically necessary. If it's not medically necessary and just something that would be "nice"...

Where is he, how can i find him?

Maybe try contacting his attorney and asking if they know where he’s at? Looks like he had a public defender out of this office: https://ne.fd.org/offices/omaha

    can you see their charges

If you know what court/district they were charged in, you should be able to look up court documents there.

Where is he, how can i find him?

Ya, I’m not seeing him anywhere. Is it possible he was tried in a federal court but is actually being held in a state or county prison/jail?

Where is he, how can i find him?

Do you know his age? There's a 50 year old Daniel Miller at a facility in Texas with a release date of November 30, 2036 (that release date roughly aligns with a 15 year sentence when you factor in time he could have already been in custody before trial and/or "good time"). If you think that...

I suspect it has something to do with him not being convicted yet. I've seen some cases where someone is assigned a register number before their trial, but even searching for the exact register number, they don't show up until they are convicted. I've also seen a couple cases where a...

    Kajon M Cox

Ok ya, I found him… probably the “double” middle name was giving the search thing some trouble. He’s at Herlong: https://inmateintake.com/locations/herlong-fci-camp.106/ Maybe he was transferred there? If not and that’s where he was when you last talked to him, maybe he’s in the shu or...

New here but new to situation

Maybe you already found it, but the inmate tracker function will be useful if he's being moved a lot. You can get alerts immediately if anything changes with him (like his location). The Bureau of Prisons doesn't let you know beforehand if they move you, they literally tell you that you are...

    Contacting inmate

Each facility has their own way to contact inmates electronically. Your best bet is to call or email the facility and ask what service/method they use there.

How do I know if he’s in the “shu” (isolated)?

Well they won’t tell you directly (as you found out). But if you call and ask about visiting that inmate, they will tell you that there is no visitation if they are in the shu. Because if they are in the shu, there is no visitation.

How do I know if he’s in the “shu” (isolated)?

Not really a way to know for sure. You could call the facility and ask, but they probably wouldn’t disclose.
