New here but new to situation

I’m Balsam I have a son in federal prison in Kentucky at Manchester FCI currently. He has one year to go till he is released. Chances are he will be moved around every few months or at least that is how it’s been going over the past 10 months.

Just wanted to say hi to those here. Have been dealing with federal prison system 9 yrs.

Maybe you already found it, but the inmate tracker function will be useful if he's being moved a lot. You can get alerts immediately if anything changes with him (like his location).

The Bureau of Prisons doesn't let you know beforehand if they move you, they literally tell you that you are being moved when it's time to go. Will save you some headache if you go to visit them only to find out they aren't even at that facility.
